About Tania
About this time, I discovered something I didn’t know was “a thing” much less a profession —graphic recording. I joined the International Forum of Visual Practitioners (IFVP) and began to develop new forms of visual practice that are helpful for groups as well as individuals. The Life Map, Business Action Map, Graphic Recording, and Kinesthetic Modeling services I now offer all grew out of the learning I experienced with colleagues at several international conferences.
In 2008 I began studying Bowen therapy, and in 2009 became certified as a practitioner and started a practice, Art of Bowen. I started seeing clients for hands-on bodywork and healing sessions. This interest came about due to a design client who introduced me to Bowen therapy and due to a remarkable event that convinced me I should do bodywork full time as a profession.
I discovered that I loved the extra dimension this work added to my life and I especially loved helping people who were in pain find relief. I quickly realized, however, that I was not making the most of what I have to offer the world.
Ironically, I had helped so many others as an Identity Consultant and I was now having my own identity crisis!
In late 2010, I was fortunate to have one of my logo design clients, Susan Rueppel, do a business intuition session for me. She helped me connect the dots and see the bigger picture of the myriad skills and talents I have to offer. She did for me, in her own way, what I often do for my clients in my way. She helped me achieve clarity. I also realized it was not only possible but preferable for me to “do it all”. I was presenting only part of myself and my skills and abilities to various people and markets. It was time to integrate.
That integration came together quickly when I realized that the common denominator in all I have to offer is my ability to create and interpret symbols to help people better understand themselves and their world. I am a Symbolist.
