Kinesthetic Modeling
One of the most amazing tools I have added to my toolbox in the last 3 years is Kinesthetic Modeling. I had an opportunity to learn this technique from John Ward at the IFVP conference in Chicago in 2008. (Check out this article about how what he taught was put to use by yours truly.)
Basically, we utilize a bunch of found objects, butcher paper, and markers to construct a three dimensional “model” that helps us identify and unpack very useful ideas that are buried deep in our unconscious and make them accessible to our conscious minds.
We can use this process very effectively for businesses with management teams. Kinesthetic Modeling can be done to help facilitate a logo re-design with a team of people, do strategic planning, build teamwork and improve communication internally and externally, or better understand any issue an organization is having difficulty “getting their heads around”. Because Kinesthetic Modeling “flies under the radar” of the conscious mind and taps directly into the subconscious and unconscious, we can bypass internal politics and social structures and extract pure gold that would not see the light of day any other way.
As a Symbolist, I know how to interpret in insightful ways what your organization literally “puts on the table”. Bring a nagging question that is in need of a solution and you will gain insight, clarity, new perspectives, and direction.
What you get:
